Do you feel like you are a square peg in a round world? Do you sometimes feel unaccepted and unloved, no matter how hard you work at it?

The author is just a regular guy who has made lots of mistakes with failures in-between. A massive heart attack while surfing led to a near death experience. There he encountered his Creator and Savior who showed him that he was always accepted and loved, in spite of him.

Regardles of who we are, we have the same story and that is: In Spite of me/you, God so loved you, that He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to save you, so that you can spend eternity with Him. (John 3:16-17). It's time to be bold! It's time to wear meaningful gear!

Just finished "In Spite of Me" I loved it. One of the best Christian books I've read; so real and transparent it offers hope.

Joanne M.

My husband and I are in the middle of reading this book. And honestly it's hard to put down. Rene has done an amazing job telling his story and giving Jesus all the glory!

Rebecca S.

It's amazing how soon I can forget negative things, I just finished reading my friend's book, "In Spite of Me" by Rene Fuentes(great read! order on Amazon)and in one section he was describing in detail his road to recovery from open heart by pass surgery. It really brought back some very powerful and strong emotional memories of my exact moments down the same path. Thoughts I hadn't wanted to remember. The beautiful amd much more powerful memories of those days are the many, many good ones, and literally every day, my Savior was right there in the midst of it all. It was a very deep and intimate path where Jesus taught me how weak and vulnerable I am, but more importantly that He is sufficient and a constant presence , both now and forever. I was truly strengthened in a new and deeper understanding of my relationship with Christ. I was able to see God's unseen Hands in the whole of my experience.
Thankful that the Lord has given me these two last two years and more time to enjoy the manifold blessings of being alive and well. In Christ we are never alone. Love and blessings.
